Welcome to the Chaos

I think I’ve written seven different versions of an intro post to this blog. I always veer of course, not entirely sure what it is I was trying to say by the time I finish. It becomes circular ramblings with too many tangents. My thoughts have a hundred “side quests” and they lack organization. I am the Side Quest Queen.

Hi, I’m Veli: 31, female, actor, writer, teacher, baker, and your friendly neighborhood weirdo. I love crafts and learning new hobbies.

When I take interest in a new activity, I am entirely consumed by it. I spent almost two years doing nothing but making French macarons in my spare time. I had to master it. They had to be perfect! I got good enough to sell them to my co-workers. Then I stopped.

I moved on to glass painting, puzzles, embroidery, diamond painting, romance novels, eventually landing on screen writing. Oh my gosh, that was a rough time.

I would get an idea and spend days barely sleeping because I kept running scenes in my head. Sometimes I would avoid writing simply because I didn’t want to get swallowed up by it. I was so tired but damn, I found out I’m pretty good at this. I’ve started a novel. Who knows if I’ll finish it, but I do know I have enough romantic trauma to create some fucked up characters. 

Anyway, if I say much more in this intro, I’ll end up driving entirely off course. Hi, I’m Veli. Welcome to my chaos. You’ll never be bored :D
